Alexander Schaefer
I am a postdoctoral research fellow at New York University's Classical Liberal Institute. In Spring 2021, I completed my PhD in philosophy at the University of Arizona under the supervision of Gerald Gaus and David Schmidtz.
My research focuses on social complexity and the social contract. When writing on both topics, I aim to put philosophy in dialogue with social science. Most of my work thus lies within the subfield of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics ("PPE").
